3 Reasons to Drink Beer… As if You Need a Reason

We’ve got some exciting news to share! Von Elrod’s Neighborhood Pilsner (4.5% ABV) will finally be available in cans from October 6. Yep, right in time to celebrate Oktoberfest!

The perfect beer to enjoy in a chilled pint or right in its can, our long-term partnership with Jackalope Brewing Company is a take on the classic German pilsner. Each 16 oz can is refreshing and easy to drink with a balance of earthy German Noble hops and lightly kilned Pilsen malt.

This beer is not just notable for its taste. A percentage of all sales goes to local charities and neighborhood organizations. More than $17,000 has been donated since we launched Von Elrod’s Neighborhood Pilsner in 2019.

All this talk about beer has us ready to order one! In the meantime, we’ll share three of the best reasons to drink this beloved beverage.

Cheers to that!

  1. Beer has plenty of health benefits

While you definitely shouldn’t replace a meal with beer, it does contain some iron, zinc, and potassium. Since it’s made from cereals and yeast, beer also has some minerals and B vitamins. Again, it’s better to eat a meal (we’ve got you covered with a full menu), but the facts can’t be denied! 😉

Not only that, but beer also helps improve heart health, blood sugar levels and bone strength. Of course, only with moderate drinking. So, to keep your health in check, stick to just a pint or two.

  1. It can take your tastebuds for a ride

At Von Elrod’s, you can sample beers from across the country (and a few from Europe!) Discover different tastes from the United States and the world right in our beer hall in Nashville, all without leaving the city.

With so many options to try, you’ll never get bored. It’s kind of like traveling without flying. Hey, there’s a reason they call them beer flights!

  1. Beer brings people together

Be it for a sports game or catching up with friends after work at happy hour, there’s just something special about gathering around a table with a few cold ones. Whatever the occasion, beer never disappoints.

Drinking beer connects people, and a beer garden is a place of community. Put the two together and you’ve got a recipe for a good time.

After all that, it’s starting to feel like it’s time for a beer, isn’t it? Luckily, we’ve got a spot waiting for you at Von Elrod’s! Join us!
