Supporting Our Team Through Life’s Unexpected Challenges

At A.Ray Hospitality, we believe in taking care of our own. The Good Neighbor Fund was created to provide compassionate, timely support to team members facing sudden and serious personal hardships. Whether it’s a medical crisis, loss of a loved one, or an unexpected housing emergency, we’re here to help shoulder the burden.

Who We Help

Any team member who has been with A.Ray Hospitality for at least 90 days is eligible to apply. Grants are available for those experiencing:

A death in the immediate family
Serious illness or injury
Eviction, foreclosure, or homelessness
Property damage due to natural disasters
Domestic violence requiring relocation
Emergency travel for family care or funerals
Other unexpected personal emergencies

How It Works

Each application is reviewed by a dedicated committee of peers and leaders. We aim to respond within 48 hours of receiving a complete application. Grants range from $250 to $1,000, depending on the nature and severity of the situation. For a full list of possible grants, please click here.

To apply, team members must submit:

A completed online application (here)
Two months of bank statements or pay card transactions
Supporting documentation relevant to the crisis (e.g. medical bills, eviction notices, funeral invoices)

We ask that applicants first explore other available resources – family, friends, community programs – before applying. The Good Neighbor Fund is designed to be a last-resort lifeline.

What We Can’t Cover

While we strive to help wherever we can, the fund does not cover:

Legal fees, fines, or bail
Student loans or credit card debt
Personal loans or payday loans
Non-essential household items
Veterinary services
Alternative medical treatments outside of Workman’s Comp
