Von Elrod’s Launches Lunch

Since opening in 2017, Von Elrod’s Beer Hall & Kitchen has always seemed like the perfect spot to offer lunch. Given its menu of artisan sausages and sandwiches plus a darn fine cheeseburger, the idea of enjoying the midday meal at Von Elrod’s — accompanied with one of its vast array of craft beers in the convivial atmosphere of a breezy biergarten and expansive patio — just seems like a no-brainer. But as I’ve said before, lunch is a dicey prospect in Germantown, where lots of people live but not many actually work during the day. Cochon Butcher and Little Donkey were notable casualties to the lack of daytime business, since the area thins out considerably during normal working hours.

Von Elrod’s has offered a fun weekend brunch for quite awhile, and the team is finally ready to make the leap to lunch starting today, Monday, April 1. (Really, no fooling!) To simplify things, they are rolling out an express lunch deal with choice of an entrée and a side for just $9.95.

Beginning today, Von Elrod’s Beer Hall & Kitchen launches its long-awaited lunch service with an express menu that will give guests the opportunity to select both an entrée and a side item for just $9.95. Among the main dishes you’ll be able to pick from menu are crispy beer battered cod Fish Tacos with tartar sauce, slaw, pico and chipotle crema; and an Adobo Chicken Wrap made using wood-grilled chicken, lettuce, black bean and corn relish, avocado and Southwest ranch.

The available side dishes are also intriguing, ranging from broccoli Sriracha slaw, Belgian fries, and jalapeño mac-and-cheese to a more prosaic garden salad or an avocado salad. Von Elrod’s express lunch menu will be available 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, so add this to your regular lunch rotation!
