Tis The Season for Von Elrod’s Holiday Cocktails

You might already know we have more than 38 taps of beer at Von Elrod’s, but did you also know we can make some killer cocktails?

The holidays have their own unique flavors, feelings, and festivities. We only get to experience them once a year, so why not make the most of it?

With all that in mind, we wanted to bring you something special to sip on during the most wonderful time of the year. These cocktails are our way to say cheers to the holidays. 

Festive Holiday Drinks To Try This Winter

If you’re coming to a holiday gathering at our Germantown restaurant, try our holiday cocktails. They’ll only be here for the season!

Mocha Mint Hot Chocolate  ($11)

Featuring peppermint bark, peppermint marshmallow, Whisper Creek Mocha liqueur, and fresh whipped cream, with just one sip you’ll feel like you’re walking in a winter wonderland. 

German Glüwein ($11)

A traditional holiday drink, you’ll find this at nearly every German Christmas market. This red wine with its flavorful spices, zesty orange kick, and hint of amaretto is sure to take your taste buds to Germany!

If you’ve ordered holiday catering and would like to have some cocktails at home, try making these big-batch cocktails. Served in a punch bowl, they require minimal prep time and take less than 20 minutes to make. Easy to make, easy to serve, and easy to drink. What could be better?

 

Christmosas

2 chopped Granny Smith apples

1 cup whole fresh cranberries

1 cup green grapes cut in half

1 cup pomegranate seeds

1 cup sparkling grape juice

1 750-ml. bottle of sparkling wine (Champagne, Prosecco, or Cava)

Combine all the fruit in a large punch bowl. Next, top with sparkling grape juice and your choice of bubbles. Stir well, then serve!

 

Jingle Juice

4 cups cran-apple juice

2 750-ml. bottles of red Moscato

1 750-ml. bottle of Prosecco

1/2 cup vodka

2 cups frozen cranberries

1/3 cup chopped mint leaves

1/2 cup granulated sugar (optional, for garnishing)

2 limes cut into rounds (optional, for garnishing)

In a punch bowl, add all of the ingredients and mix well. Then, if you want to garnish your cocktails, wet the rims of the glasses with a lime and dip them in the sugar
