For travel junkies and beer lovers, Oktoberfest in Munich is a definite must on their bucket list. Each year, millions of people head to Germany to celebrate Oktoberfest – which is the world’s largest folk festival. The celebration is all about spending good times with friends and includes large beer tents, breweries, loads of food, live music, dancing, and more. Not only is Oktoberfest an important staple of Bavarian culture, but take it from us, it’s a damn good time.
Bringing A Taste Of Germany To Nashville
Who couldn’t fall in love with the lively and familiar atmosphere of Oktoberfest in Germany? Not only is the festival filled with mouth-watering dishes such as pretzels, sausages, and sauerkraut – but it’s all about the beer! And we aren’t talking about small tastings. No, we’re talking about liters of liquid gold. After heading to Oktoberfest in Munich back in 20011, Von Elrod’s founder Austin Elrod Ray was hooked! After many beer garden visits later, Austin and Jason Brumm (our Chief Sausage Officer & Chef Partner), came up with the idea to pair their love of beer gardens with delicious hand-cranked sausages.
As soon as you step foot into Von Elrod’s it’s easy to see that we love beer! From local craft beer to traditional German styles, such as Hefeweizen, Dunkelweizen, and Köolsch, we have 36 taps and an assortment of bottle options at our restaurant in Nashville. This makes our Nashville beer garden the perfect place to meet up with friends, relax, and enjoy an ice-cold beer.
